Latest update to my phone conversion

Well, Dennis took and loaded a new video of the phone. There was a screw issue which has set him back a bit, but if you look at 5:31, you'll see that the final color of the phone is freaking AWESOME! He obviously put a couple coats, and like I was hoping, it darkened just a bit. Way to go, Dennis!!!

Its nice Guy, the color makes it look like the Colonial Fleet just shipped it new with other parts to the Battlestar. It is close to some of the prop phones.

It's definitely better than coat #1, so I'm very curious to see it up close. Dennis says he'll be finishing soon, and I'm really excited to hear the new clacker in the complete phone. I know my conversion is a going to cost a bit more than normal, but Sean said that he paid $75 for his conversion, while mine will include the paint job and extended work on the handset.

I've found them on ebay for $75, but here's one for $95. Even without BSG conversion stickers, they scream Galactica

Oh yeah. I was in the Navy, so we used a bunch of this stuff, but different phone like the ones with the growler cranks on them, and the ship 1MC speakers that hang all over the CIC-all that was on the ship for real. The TA-1, and TA-954 are Army phones, some for secure voice. All the one that we used in the real CIC, or radio were secure voice. They are pricey new when the Navy gets them, these were never meant to get into our hands or become a popular item to have for fans. They do scream BSG though.

I posted this on the Propworx forum too. OMG did Dennis do a nice job on this final conversion! The paint looks fantastic, and there are so many little perks he did. I can hardly wait for this to get to me!
